“Rise” is meant to play as a popular genre called Rogue Like, the main feature of Rogue Likes is that every playthrough is somewhat different and random.

For example, the floors of the dungeon change every run. The enemy locations, types and drops change. Items and abilities also change every run.

So what is the main goal here? Learn, survive, improve. Know what enemies do, know when to fight or run, know what to spend whichever currency you have on the options available.

Will luck be a big part on if you succeed or not? Yes it will, and that is intended. Eventually a player should know what items he is looking, what synergizes with what, what enemies are easy to deal with and which are not.
